Cambridge Tennis Club is a not-for-profit, outdoor tennis club nestled in the picturesque Soper Park beside a winding brook amid a stand of mature maple trees. Founded in 1926, the club features four lit clay (har tru) courts and a comfortable clubhouse.
Our har tru courts are reconditioned every year and are a premium playing surface where bounces are more predictable and slower than hard court surfaces. Our club has expanded steadily and now attracts members from all over the region. We offer free tennis instruction, team tennis, pro lessons, summer camps and junior programs.
We offer organized round robins, team tennis, interurban league play, and an easy-to-use tennis ladder for adults. We also have ball machines and a backboard for solo practice.
Our annual summer camps for young tennis stars take place in July and August. The number of participants is limited, so sign up early.
We offer free group lessons for juniors and adults. Every Saturday in May and June, Juniors enjoy free lessons. Every Wednesday and Thursday evening throughout the year, adults enjoy
free
lessons.
Being affiliated with the Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) for the past 5 years, we follow all provincial and Tennis Canada best practices to foster growth of the sport of tennis.
We support Tennis Cambridge, whose Tennis Canada-supported mission is to get an indoor tennis facility in the City of Cambridge.
