Junior Tennis Development
One free tennis lesson per week, per child is offered to all Junior members (aged 3-17) in May and June. For many students, this will be their first exposure to tennis. Conducted within a group lesson format with our certified coaches, these lessons teach students valuable movement, manipulative, striking skills, and raises student and parent awareness of the vibrant learning culture of our Cambridge Tennis Club.
Free junior lessons take place on Saturdays mornings (excluding May 31, which is the Jr French Open tournament) - participants are invited to register for the tournament to gain experience in a fun but competitive environment. *
The schedule is similar to that in the Tennis Lessons program in July and August, where start times are staggered according to age. Starting in early May, lessons are weather-dependent. The following is the schedule for our Saturday lessons depending on the age and skill level of the child:
Time | Age (yrs) | Level |
---|---|---|
9-10 am | 4-6 | Mini |
10-11.30 am | 7-9 | 1 |
11.30-1 pm | 10-12 | 2 |
1-2.30 pm | 13-17 | 3 |
Saturday junior lessons are a great way for your child to enjoy their tennis membership and gain the skills they need for a lifetime of successful tennis play!
